Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef and former Institute of Culinary Education instructor She is also a television personality. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network star with her trademark spikey blonde hair and bubbly personality, reveals simple to learn techniques and eliminates anxiety about restaurant food on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell has also worked at several of the most prestigious restaurants in New York, studied the culinary landscape and traditions of Italy, and battled on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upper reaches of New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for food and cooking early on. Following her graduation with an English and Communication degree at Canisius College in Buffalo NY she was able to pursue her love of the business of restaurant by enroling at The Culinary Institute of America. The Culinary Institute of America was where I had my most memorable time in my life. The Culinary Institute of America was a great location to learn. After graduating Chef Burrell was in Italy for a whole year taking classes at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Additionally, she worked at La Taverna del Lupo and La Bottega del 30 (a Michelin starred restaurant) located in Tuscany. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian way of life and its culture and this has left an impact on her own culinary perspective. Burrell is an ambassador for the celebrity chef of the Juvenile Diabetic Research Foundation. She also is a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that assists children with obstacles. In her capacity as a speaker, Burrell travels across the nation to share her passion for food as well as her career in the culinary field. Anne has always been grateful she was able to share her passion that she had for sharing her cooking skills with other people.
